RTJ Tax & Accounting is where beauty meets professionalism, founded by Chalana Wilcox. Chalana brings 12 years of tax experience to the company and is passionate about educating and empowering clients through financial literacy.
Chalana’s career began with an internship at VITA, where she assisted individuals at various stages of their financial lives, from first-time filers to those navigating major life changes like marriage and divorce. She then earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and went on to serve as office manager for a private tax franchise. In 2018, Chalana launched RTJ Tax & Accounting, continuing her mission to offer exceptional financial guidance and support.
While exploring her love for numbers, Chalana was also working as a hairstylist and realized that many beauty professionals lacked a plan for managing their finances for long-term success and security. After witnessing too many stylists struggling with health issues that forced them out of their craft, she combined her passion for both finance and beauty to create a safe space for creatives and entrepreneurs.
Her goal is to help them build sustainable financial futures, ensuring they can thrive well beyond their years behind the chair.
